oh not all BP meds cause birth defects lol the ones i was taking in particular were very bad but it's because i had horrendous blood pressures before... I get hospitalized like every single year... not kidding. lol anyway i was on Valsartan 160mg twice a day and Lasix 20mg

oh okay but I didn't know it cause birth defects cause my doctor told me it was safe so I'm going to cuss him out lol don't want anything to happen to my baby

ive taken my BP like 7 times and theyre ALL high...my face is so flush red right now... i feel awful... I'm waiting by myself in the ER... 😥 @cheatara

my doc knows i have a history of high BP and said i could get off my last meds since they were going to cause birth defects but every visit ive had so far without meds for the past 5 months, ive had amazing BPs...like 117/65 etc... today i just had sharp pains in my right side and i kept waking up switching sides thinking it was gas but it wasnt and then i noticed my ankles started swelling up. i feel like im being stabbed in the side and my back is killing me. @cheatara

do your doctor know because I have hypertension and I take medicine to keep it normal but if it has been normal during your pregnancy you need to go and make sure nothing is different you don't want to go into preterm labor or have pre clampsia

yes but ive had hypertension my whole life . ever since i got pregnant its been perfect u until today @cheatara

go now for they can give you something for your bp is this the first time it been like this

well they will send you up to L & D. So technically L&D. That bottom number is really high

and your insurance will cover whatever er you go too, but if you need to have am emergency csec they would more than likely have to transfer you...

@justine_kim, no offense but fuck the insurance. 120 is normal, 130 is fair, 140 is high, 150+ can be pre-eclampsia and

@boy_mom4 so do u recommend ER or labor and delivery? it will pretty much be billed the same right?

I was in l&d Saturday night for high BP and she said if I get pain under my right rib to go in immediately

I think you should go to er and just make sure your ok and baby is ok... Ins should take care of it...first and very most, your health and baby's...good luck.

my doc is closed and it's an answering service that can't help me with any medical questions...i called a different hospital er down the road and they told me to go in for sure but that they couldnt answer any insurance questions either 😧 @jana.bear @viiviiaann91

BP is high. I would go in...I am a therapist so I treat patients all day long and check their BP. If you go to ER they should be able to bill you if your insurance doesn't cover the whole visit.

Go to Labor and Delivery. Insurance has to pay regardless of whether it stabilizes. That's scary high.
