That's how my son was. The first month or so is literally just nursing. It's worth it tho!

it's weird because I breastfed with my daughter and it wasn't like this. I guess it's because he's growing faster than she did

It is most likely cluster feeding, which is VERY normal for breastfed babies! How old is he? The first 5 days they should be peeing once for each day so at day one they should pee once, day two twice and so on until day five, they should be 5 times and every day after that they should pee 5 to 6 times or more every day, if your baby is peeing this much then you know they are getting enough, that and weight gain of course! Just don't watch the clock when nursing, how often they nurse, how long and such have nothing to do with supply, they feed for so many reasons other than hunger and thirst so don't worry unless you are not getting enough pees, and in that case contact his doctor before making any decisions to supplement or anything like that. You're doing fine, mama, keep it up!

Yeah and he might just be hungrier than she was! Some babies just like/need to eat more

he's 3 weeks old now. I know that he's getting milk but it just doesn't seem like a lot. owl maybe it's just in my head

As long as he's peeing enough he should be getting plenty, every baby is different, some feed only every few hours and some cluster feed all day long and never seem happy lol they grow out of it and they are getting just as much as those other babies, they just feed for different reasons 😉

For the first 2 months my daughter nurses every 5-10 minutes. Babies that young tend to cluster feed. Nothing wrong with that. I just let her nurse whenever she needed it. She would only sleep about 10 minutes at a time and need to nurse again. She's 6 months now and still breastfeeding. She is on a "normal" eating schedule now. So it doesn't last. I know it's hard but it's okay. That's just how some babies are when they're young.
