stupid question but are you /was you a teacher ?

I was a primary school teacher, but it made me poorly so I left. I wish I'd got help when I stated to struggle, may still be doing it! Was sorting out all my old uni work yesterday and ended up in floods! I really miss working with children but its all the frigging paperwork and pressure and working late every evening and still having a shitload to do at the weekend. it broke me :(. x

I was an English and history teacher but I left to have my children. I genuinely don't think that you can be a good teacher and a good mum and I don't want to be putting other people's children before my own but I also didn't want to be failing them. I plan to go back when my children are older and in school themselves. don't get down. You can always go back to it when you're ready. x

That's exactly what I think, I don't see how I could have time for my children and support 30 odd that aren't mine! I was bad enough that hubs was doing everything at home so I could do work and some nights I was so stressed I was bloody horrible to him. I want to go back or do something with children but he's very reluctant, because of what it did to me. But possibly part time or supply or even ta work, as there would be a smaller workload and less responsibility but would be working with children! It's nice to have someone that understands, I feel like such a failure sometimes. xXx
