Literally can't have an opinion on anything anymore😂😴

No hospitals are awful, they told me my little boy had a tongue tie, wouldn't give me an ounce of help, had to persevere through blood and cut nipples😢 but we got there in the end, xx

I wished I could have breastfed but my hospital didn't give me much support and I had to wait weeks to get his toung tie sorted and I couldn't express. Had a nightmare tbf! @darciepenny xx

Mines breastfed so I suppose it's different, ive never had to deal with him wanting more, I just know that food doesn't really do anything before one so I wouldn't personally wean before the recommended age but everyone's different @shannon391 xx

My little one (4 months old) is formula fed, has 7oz every 3/4 hours however he always seems to be wanting more so me giving him a little bit of food fills him if I though I was doing wrong by him I wouldn't. Over the country I can imagine every HV having different opinions as do we xx

I just don't see it either, im not slagging people off who do im just saying to me it seems very pointless, Breastmilk constantly changes to meet the needs of your baby and until one foods just for fun, he won't get anything from it that Breastmilk doesn't already supply to his diet @tuftyturtle

I don't see the rush to give babies food. even of my dietician recommended early weaning which I suspect she will I won't do it because I don't think my baby is ready and as you said food isn't necessary before one. We baby led weaned at 5 months and I don't think he properly ate 'meals' until about 8 months. just the odd bite here and there.

Ive always been told after 6 months to give finger foods out and allow them to do it themselves, never heard of it being before 6 months? Im not saying it's not right im just saying all the research ive done has always said 6+ months

Yeah baby led weaning is finger foods instead of purees but it's also 'baby led' so when they're ready and showing signs as not all babies are going to be exactly the same the day they hit 6 months. physical and mental development is different for everyone.

I was always led to believe that baby led weaning was allowing them to eat themselves with finger foods, rather than purees so they can learn the chewing rather than just swallowing purees, but allowing them to do it themselves, and all research I have done has been from 6months @tuftyturtle

I don't like it when babies get fed junk either @tuftyturtle, but that's just because I don't eat it myself, like I said my comments weren't aimed at people who started with foods a little earlier, it was for people who wean at like 3 months there's just no need for it I don't think, personally anyway, vins won't even drink a bottle let alone eat anything😂 but then again they do say food is only for fun before one and not actually needed until then, and im fine Thankyou @zoee23 xxxxxx

Also my junk comment wasn't aimed at you or any one in particular.. you haven't weaned yet so it can't have been aimed at you. It's just something that annoys me.

But nobody said you was wrong. Nobody said they disagreed with you. They just gave their own opinions. Like I said baby led weaning is when your baby is ready. For my son it was 5 months. For my daughter it probably won't be until after 6 months. babies are all different sizes and they all develop at different rates. which is why it's different for everyone. 😊

And @tuftyturtle I wasn't talking about people who give there babies tastes of things at 4-5 months I was on about people who wean from 3+ months, just don't see the point when they're digestive system isn't developed until 4-6 month, Id just personally rather wait and be safe, just because one person does it and their baby is fine doesn't mean it's the right thing to do
