I'm ready! (almost). Here's what I added that wasn't on my last post:
-heating pad
-lip balm
-slippers & flip flops
-folder with my paperwork and birth plan
-tennis balls for massaging during labor
-book on breastfeeding
And here's what I need to add when I actually leave:
-maternity tank tops ( I wear them daily )
-hair dryer &a straightener
-laptop preloaded with shows & movies
-waterproof mascara & eyeliner
-my own pillow
I feel like there's a couple things I still need to add but my brain isn't working right now haha! Also, should I bring nursing pads or does the hospital have those that I can use? I can't believe I could have my baby at any time! It's crazy! 😭💙
My hospital has hairdryers for you. Like at a hotel, it's on the wall
You should be good with that and the stuff from last post. If you can't use it oh well but bring it just in case.
@dcb012 I'll definitely need them. I'm gonna be there for over a week.
You won't need your straightener or blow dryer.... Lol Nd they may not let you use a heating pad due to the hazard of then
damn girl you're ready!! now I'll be a couple weeks after you so you'll have to tell me what you really needed while you were there so I can pack up haha
Well I wanna have something to read during labor, and since I'm already reading it I'm just gonna continue to. Plus the lactation consultant will only be at the hospital.. They only provide so much info. Can't take them home with me. @hockeymama
You probably won't need the book.. Hospitals have lactation consultants.. You won't have time or energy to read anyway lol
no problem. that's just experience from where I delivered.
I would bring my own nursing pads they usually don't have them.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Mine doesn't unfortunately @harranmommy
