Has anyone else had issues with the newborn car seat inserts for the baby's head? The nicu did a car seat test and apparently after about 45 minutes Phoenixs oxygen levels would drop extremely low. I took it out an just rolled blankets to keep his head in place but I'm a little frustrated that it's meant to keep my baby safe and its causing more problems instead! The nicu nurse told us not to keep him in his seat longer than an hour even with out the insert until he's around 3 months old. I don't know how that's possible.. I've got to figure out how to grocery shop and run my errands with out him being in the seat for over an hour 😩

no NICU will let you use the head inserts for babies. they are considered not safe and that's why they make you use the rolled up blankets.. I had I had the same problem with my daughter 2 years ago but I just would take her out and hold her for a few minutes when she seem like she was in distress

You can use a wrap or carrier to wear him instead when you go out places.

Try a wrap so you can put him in that from car seat and go out and about with that that is what I'm planning on doing I'm trying to minimize the amount of time he will spend in the car seat or laying on his back
