How early do they test the baby for Down syndrome? Do they call you with the test results?

I was tested at 9 weeks and got the results by mail after 4 weeks

they tested me at 13 weeks and i got a call a week later

@newbabymuva, at 10 weeks normally is when they can get the best read. So my doctor said. And my nurse called be within 5 business days

My dr pretty much refuses to do it unless you have more risk factors for it because the test can be risky

as early as 11 weeks for the one I did. I did a finger prick and ultrasound. don't remember the name of it but the nurse did call me ASAP to tell me everything looked good
