My son won't let me put him down in his crib at night.. He cries nonstop the second I put him down…

May have to let him cry it out

My baby is 5 days old and I am going through the same thing. What I do now is lay him on a pillow in my bed until he gets use to his crib. Not only that I be in so much getting out the bed every five minutes to get him out his crib. I know it's not advice but I'm with you if anyone knows please let me know as well.

start using his crib for nap time.

Thank you @towens921 @camjay0816 @tiffrae it is hard hearing my boy cry! Plus my bf/his dad cant handle the crying he thinks that after like 20 seconds of crying I should pick him up and it didn't work 😠

I never believed in the cry it out method either and I would nurse my son to sleep and try to put him in his crib and pick him up the second he started to cry but as he got older (he's going to be 6 months tomorrow) it became harder and harder to put him in his crib without waking him up so I still nurse him to sleep and then put him down and the first night he cried for 10 min then the next night 6 min then 2 min and then hardly anything... I was able to get time back to spend just with my husband which is nice.... I was so anti cry it out but I never let him cry for more than 10 min..it seems like such a long time when you're in the thick of it but it's going to be okay. Baby needs to learn to put himself to bed.
