anyone's SO work a 3rd shift job? if so, how does that work out for you? my fiance starts his new job next week and its 3rd shift. 60 hours a week. he'll be making good money but I'm gonna miss him :( hope he can have a decent relationship with our 2nd daughter when she arrives.

My husband starts working full time tomorrow. 10 pm to 6 am. He's been doing it part time up until now and we've been handling is great. full time kind of scares me. Just gotta work through any issues and be flexiable. :)

I would figure working third shift would be better? I was actually thinking of working 3rd shift because to me I can be gone while kids are sleeping and home when their awake and sleep when they takes naps and before they get up in the morning

I agree with what @arachelle said it's a nightmare my husband works 60+ a week from 530-530 sometimes later. Our two yr old son cries for him and our 1yr old won't sleep without her bear that smells like him. We don't get much time together either. He is up a total of an hour a day before work and in that time he eats talks to me and the kids and that's it then it's off to work. By the time he gets breaks the kids are asleep. Hope it's better for you.

exactly @levismommy2014 , my husband only sees us for an hr also before he has to go to work and then when he gets off im gone taking kids to school and heading to work (before i was on bedrest) now he's asleep before i get home from taking the kidx to school. He does get 4 days off but its hard to get him up in thd morning so we can spend time together or get anything done. I can only imagine it will be worse once te baby gets here. He also keeps talking about getting a part time job so i can stay home so ill never see him then.

@arachelle, my husband gets two days off but he usually gets called in to work on them so we never get anything done plus we have on vehicle so I've got to plan everything out and be home in time for him to get up. Since I stay at home I make his lunches and dinners so I've got to allow time for that. To top it his company told him tonight they may need him the night of my csection and the entire time I'm there. That can't happen he's stay with our oldest two at night since no one in our families are willing to take them.

that's what I was afraid of...ugh. he gets weekends off and will only work 6 hours Every other Saturday...we will see though
