Absolutely bloody appalled with the behaviour of two nurses at liverpool hospital, safe to say I went to town on them, how dare they tell me im not allowed to feed my son because I made a man feel uncomfortable as it was very sexual, SEXUAL! Im sorry love but don't even start with me because I can argue my case until the cows come home, ive never ever in my months of breastfeeding had anything but compliments and to be told off by a nurse for giving my son the best possible start, can guarantee that if it was a bottle they wouldn't have said anything, she should've told him that if he didn't like it he didn't have to look, not make me feel uncomfortable while im visiting my nan, sat under a sign may I add that read 'breastfeeding always welcome' fucking absolutely raging. Nothing I hate more than being discriminated against, it's 2016 love, think you need to re do your nursing degree, check who is in there legal rights and stand up for breastfeeding mommas! safe to say I will be making a formal complaint and until they apologise I will not be stopping, think they messed with the wrong momma this time💪💪💪💪💪 #normalisebreastfeeding
feeding a baby isnt sexual in the slightest but this day its looked at sexually cos men cant control their perverted minds myself i wouldnt feel comfortable to feed anywhere becos of that but i take my hat off to women that do.
@fanta2016, she won't dampen my spirit, I will continue to feed whenever and wherever I need to without shame, Thankyou for the support xxxx
@darciepenny, you should not have been made to feel like that and I really hope you get at very least an apology!! Feeding a baby is hardly sexual and anyone that thinks of it like that should be told off not you! Awful behaviour! Xx
@fanta2016, what upsets me the most is the man had his back to me, and I had my back to everyone facing the wall, you couldn't see anything it was literally just the fact that he knew I was feeding he 'wasn't happy with' and even if I sat there with boobs out it doesn't matter because im well within my legal rights to do so, im nourishing my child, not doing anything sexual or rude, just left the hospital feeling very upset, along with the fact that I was visiting my nan who has just had a tumour removed, so my head was already all over the place, she loves watching him feed, she thinks it's beautiful and the nurse was just out of order xxx
I actually cannot believe what I've just read!! A nurse of all people and in 2016 why is this even an issue! If the man isn't comfortable with seeing something completely natural then he should move himself and his awful opinions somewhere else! Good for you for sticking up for what you believe in! Xx
@zaralee71, honestly ive never had a bad word, everyone's so helpful and loving towards me when I feed, I just was not prepared for a nurse to discriminate, x
Exactly! This is why I have taught my eldest son that breasts are for feeding babies because I don't want him to see them as just a sexual part of the body when he grows up, hoping it'll help him in later life! We were sat in wetherspoons yesterday having breakfast and the woman on the table by us was breast feeding and no one seemed to bat an eyelid, that is how it should be! xx
@zaralee71, @tamz0569 I know! He should've been the one told, he had the problem not me, what the hell is people's problem? It's literally a ball of fat on your chest used to feed a child, bet if I was a naked model he wouldn't complain xxx
I would definitely be making a formal complaint against her! Who cares if a bloody man feels uncomfortable?! You were feeding your child! xxx
@tamz0569, she should've told him that I am within my legal rights and he needs to get a grip, not target me like I was doing something wrong, never had anything like this happen to me before and absolutely disgusted that it has come from nurses, fat ridiculous Pervy man, should've flashed him shouldnt i,
Xxx
U go girl. A bit silly though. Like leave the area where you breastfeeding. More than that silly nurse for not standing up for u
Absolutely awful @zaralee71 @winterbaby95, she came over slammed the curtains shut around me and basically told me it wasn't normal and he was very offended, she's supposed to be a nurse, she should be standing up for us, honestly never felt so angry in my life, I told her myself, he was sat with his back to me, couldn't see anything I was doing but I had to respect his wishes, what about my wishes as a breastfeeding mum? I know the law and I will not rest until they've been spoken too, sorry for the rant, xxx
I think it's disgusting that she referred to it as sexual! I hope she thinks twice from now on! xxx
I'll always stand up for breastfeeding rights, it's against the law, I am legally allowed to breast-feed whenever my son is hungry, I feed anywhere and everywhere and to be told in a hospital by a medical professional, should've seen me @zaralee71, she won't be confronting another mum that's for sure xxx
this is one thing i an worried about why should we have to hide thats what breasts where made for isnt it?!?@darciepenny xx
