Wait until your postpartum check up, usually at 6 weeks. The reason I say this is because you need the doctor to check and make sure everything is healed and closed, for instance if you had a c section they need to make sure all the stitches are healed and you won't accidentally hurt them, and if you had a vaginal birth they need to make sure any stitches you may have recieved for tears or cuts have fully healed and the most important part: They need to make sure your cervix is completely closed. This takes longer than you'd think! After the bleeding stops completely, your cervix has to finish closing up and healing, otherwise you can get an infection in your uterus which could be life threatening! This is true for any woman who has dilated at all during labor or bled after birth, which c section mamas can have, too! So my word of advice: PLEASE wait until you get your check up from your doctor, even if you feel completely fine!!!
