I know full term is considered 40 weeks. However, in the past I always had my doctor say 37 is considered "full term" that you should aim at making it to that point. What is everyone else's take on this?

yes that's pretty much right. the last few weeks is mostly fat and weight gain for a baby

@bellasmommy516, so you would say 37 weeks is term?
Daeishia·
Yes it is really 36 is the actual safe zone everything else is fat the baby is packing on @kaydensmommy5

yes but it doesn't hurt to let the baby stay in longer to let their lungs mature and gain some weight to help with temperature control

I believe in leaving baby in as long as possible as long as it's healthy for both of you. From what I've read the healthier the pregnancy the longer your pregnancy will go. So in that sense it's a good thing and a good sign to let baby come when baby is ready.

@jenidoll, I do agree. I was just curious if the baby needed to come was it considered term at 37 weeks or no?
