for safely purposes they suggest 2 years old and I will be doing that, he is 26 lbs and 14 months old. With my other two children I turned them around at 1 year or 25lbs and nothing happened but I also didn't get into an accident.

In my state they have to be at least 2 yrs old to forward face. My daughter won't forward face until she's 3

i think it depends on the weight. i could be wrong but i think its like 25+ pounds
