I was going to do strictly breastfeeding but I'm going to actually do breastfeeding and pumping (bottle) because if not than she'll be hooked and will want my breast only and wouldn't work if she is left with her dad or something lol..
Anyone else doing both???
@hamman13, I felt like my nipples were tearing open lol
@hamman13, with my son I breastfeed but only to 6 months because than he started to hurt my nipples lmao I couldn't do it after that but with my daughter I want to go longer
@sarinunez, I used Avent & dr. Browns bottles with my son.
I put 4 different types of bottles on my registry, because I know there's a chance that the baby might not like one so at least I'll have options. The ones I picked were the Tommee Tippee, Munchkin LATCH, Chicco NaturalFit and Philips Avent Natural.
I'm doing both! I want my SO and our son to bond as well.
@desi720, awesome thank you! I'll check it out.
Thanks also I heard the latch bottles are pretty good I plan on trying those
Yes I plan to do both a little nervous because it will be new to me and I have no one that can really help since my mom didn't breastfeed. I hope it works out.
Lol yes I noticed my auto correct when it posted lol
I'm doing both. I didn't pump with my oldest and he fed all the time which wasn't very convenient at all lol. I'm getting the tommy tippee bottles the closer to nature ones are shaped more like boobs and they have ones for sensitive tummies too :) I'm lucky though I've done in home daycare for the past 10 years so I got to see the pros and cons of all the bottle brands.
It's called tommee tippe lol @lexirosex3 @lkmama
@kenitra, awesome!! I heard it was also :)
All of my friends that have had children recently say Medela Electric Pump is the best on the market.
@jackscatss, @lezette @kenitra @rfsteele @ashley07 awesome!!!! My insurance provided breast pump etc too hopefully she latches on and feels comfortable if not I'll have to buy her one that she will feel comfortable with. Any recommendations??
@lezette, what bottles do you recommend? I've been thinking about trying to do both again, but I used the medela bottles with my daughter and then she wouldn't latch anymore.
I plan to try to breastfeed but I'm going to pump so he/she will be used to the bottle for when my parents have him/her also so it will be easier when I put him/her on regular milk at a year old like I did with my daughter only I couldn't breast feed with my daughter because my milk came in late and she wouldn't latch on
yes! We're doing both for the same reason, plus daddy can share the nightly feedings
I am! I want other people to be able to feed him besides me. Especially his Dad. And my insurance covers a hospital grade breast pump of my choice.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
