First night being home & still can't get my son to open his mouth wide enough. I was told I'm doing everything right on my end but do have larger breasts so wondering what mommies have bigger ones and what you did to make baby open wide enough cuz im already so sore from trying & him sucking on just the tip of my nipple. please help. I want to make sure hes getting enough colostrum.
I do do that. the consult also showed me. like I said im doing what I should but still struggling to get his mouth open wide enough
compress the breast until he is latched, allowing him to get more in his mouth. there's a link on this, I'll try to find it.
He was checked for tongue tie already so I know its not that but ill still look that up, thank you
You think he could have a lip/tongue tie? My daughter has a slight lip tie which is why she had such a shallow latch. Look up the "flipple technique" on YouTube. It definitely helped me out and we're still breastfeeding 7 months later!
It will happen it takes time sometimes.my son did that and is a pro now!
They told me I almost couldn't go home cuz he wouldn't latch properly but then others said hed get it down soon. I have a fallow up appointment this Saturday for it. they told me to bring him to breast not breast to him so idk. im lost now but apparently im doing it right hes just learning still.. it sucks cuz I want to keep breastfeeding him
I had the same problem. At the hospital they were mean and just shoved my breast into her face, she didn't like it, so she started opening her mouth more
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
