When do you guys begin taking your babies out? For walks? Restaurants? And etc. my baby is exactly 3 weeks old today but I'm so afraid of taking him out. He's completely healthy but tiny.. He was born only 5 pounds. When should I start relaxing and taking him out?!
We have one of those car seat canopies that I love !!! Keeps him covered from the elements outside and keeps the germs of him and people from looking at him in the stores ! If you don't have one I deff recommend it !! I just saw on Facebook they have a promo code for a free one for Mother's Day you just pay shipping !!
Ok let me rephrase lol at 1 week old is when i took him on an actual car trip that was longer than 5 mins. He was born 4lbs 10z
As soon as you got home from the hospital you were taking him out? @kysonsmama
It's time! It's totally safe to get him out! Also just remember that opinions are like buttholes. Everyone has them!
I would put him on his stroller. I would only use the car seat in the car because his stroller becomes like a little bed for him so he can relax when we're out. @bwitmer
Having him in his seat for too long isn't good for him. It can cause that thing that some babies have where they have to wear a helmet
@juliannap, no such thing as a dumb question. It's scary but you have to take the baby out. Only way to build his immune system. Also it's better for the both of you. I started off small. I would go to church on Sunday's. But you can take him on short walks. To the store. Honestly as long as you don't let people touch him or get in his face he will be fine. Often I kept my son right on me. You know those cute baby slings? I would put him in one. Or keep him in his car seat or stretched out in his stroller.
Would you just take him out on walks? Or if you had to run errands and etc you'd bring him along? Sorry these are dumb questions but I'm a FTM and I'm loosing my sanity constantly being home and restricting myself from going out Bc my mother and mother in law keep giving me the talk since I want to take the baby out. @bwitmer
I had no choice to start from day one home. My stove and washer are both broken so we have to go out to eat and go out to do laundry and he is breast fed so he has to be with me. It wouldn't be as frequent of we didn't cloth diaper, but I think it helps build his immune system.
