So doctors appointment went good baby is happy and healthy im 1 1/2 centimeters dialated & 75% effaced so she said she will be doing a membrane sweep in 2 weeks when i turn 37 weeks☺ Almost there ladies🎉😃

they usually do it if your over your due date but in my case its cause my blood pressure so it basically just jumpstarts labor
is ur amniotic sacred not supposed to be connected to ur cervix .... or what is the purpose of it

During a membrane sweep, your midwife or obstetrician will insert a lubricated finger into your vagina and feel for your cervix. Then she'll make fairly vigorous, circular, sweeping movements just inside the cervix to try to separate your amniotic sac from the cervix itself. This action sometimes causes the release of prostaglandins.
