Am I able to lose weight during this pregnancy ? How much exercise am I allow to do without it damaging the baby?

I just wanted to point out that running is safe during pregnancy. I've done 2 5ks during this pregnancy and it is totally healthy.

@andrrea, I think that's what I'm going to do I have a treadmill in my room. I'm going to walk for an hour a day to try to not get so big during this pregnancy lol

I walked for hours while pregnant, helps to turn baby in the right position and sometimes makes labor easier when the time comes!

walking is what they recommend anyway so you should be good there!

@madibug96, I would workout before my pregnancy I would run or walk for an hour. Do you think it's safe to walk for an hour a day?

Ask your doctor, if you worked out before you got pregnant you should be able to continue, if not then it could hurt the baby but as I said get your doctors opinion, walking is the best exercise while carrying lol

They say to do what you were doing before. However, I was a runner previously but I didn't run often enough to continue doing so while pregnant, and I wouldn't recommend running anyway. I also wouldn't focus on "losing weight" more like "staying in shape". would definitely ask your doctor what they think, tell them what you did previously to getting pregnant and how often and they will tell you what they recommend
