that's what they did to me yesterday! but my bp slowly went down but was still high and my cervix was closed..they swabbed me for preterm labor so they sent me home and then 1hr later I was having contractions all over again..

No the nurse checked me. I could have stayed for 2 hours on iv and rechecked but felt there were be absolutely no change since cervix does not seem at all changed. ): oh well.
