Mommas to be! PLEASE DO NOT do ANY type of pushing with a catheter still in if you get the epidural! I am almost 3 months pp and received damaged due to pushing with the catheter still in (doctor told me to practice push before actual labor)

@mamaash the dumb doctor made me practice push before I actually started pushing my son out with the catheter still inside... Due to me pushing with all my strength I ended up damaging my urethra. They take the catheter out when your completely dilated and ready to push.

Sorry that bc of that it damaged your urethra. That is insane how did they forget.. Or "not know" thank you tho because if they ask me to push I'll definitely say nope. Unless that catheter is out.

@hellosweetie, I don't think I could. They make you sign all these papers before the epidural. I'm sure somewhere in fine print it states they aren't in charge for any catheter damage.

@mamaash, yes don't! My obgyn checked me at my 2 month pp and told me that my urethra is a straight line instead of a small circle like its suppose to be. It's suppose to heal on its own. I'm almost 3 months pp and it still hurts and I feel a lot of pressure while peeing
