girl the same thing happened to me when I was pregnant with my son...went for a regular appointment just to get induced , I was definitely not prepared that day and I was planning on getting something to eat after my appointment.
Yes eat before you go. They don't want you to eat while you're there because in case you have an emergency csection, you could die choking back up solids if you are not conscious... They will probably let you have clear liquid stuff like popsicles or jello. Which sucks but they don't allow you food for a good reason! And yeah you can't leave the hospital without a car seat.
Ok so just eat before I come basically ? And don't eat during the induction ? @babymay2016
@myboocoming, You shouldn't really do that because there is a reason they don't let you eat any solids... You should just eat really well beforehand and you can eat after.

They will only allow you to have fluids and jello it's horrible and I haven't been in here that long @myboocoming
Omg did I eat before when do they feed u ? Mines start at 8am I'm defiantly sneaking food in my room !
I'm being induced today at 6 I'm about to eat good now after reading this. I'm scared.
