Started drinking raspberry tea leaf and noticed I get slight tummy cramps not long after drinking it…

I don't know if it works to bring anything on, but my labour was only 3 hours so im presuming it did something, I think it's supposed to soften the cervix and help you have an easier labour xxx

yes!! I used it with both my previous pregnancies and it really helped to get things moving. I've heard women say it doesn't cause contractions and only helps to get the womb prepared etc but it caused contractions for me and a few others of my friends, also the info I found on it said the tea would help to get labour started too but I guess different things work for different people xx

What are you supposed to drink this? All the way through or just at the end? I thought it was just to encourage labour, but then I've heard that it helps in other ways too, so now I'm confused 😕 x

@darciepenny, @nadsx316 @nicolexvx well I got told to start drinking it from now to start my uterus toning up and help labour I read it isn't meant to start labour just help it so that's why say drink it from 32 weeks as it won't bring it on but I've got these stomach pains now so I'm not sure myself xx

ah I see....when I was told to drink it I was told it shouldn't be used before 37 weeks because it can bring on labour, it was actually a midwife that recommended it to me so I'm not sure, then again that was 6 years ago (the last time I used it) so maybe things have changed. I just remember that every time I had a cup then I end up with some stomach cramps. xx

@cookedsushi, it's good to know I wasn't the only person given that info lol, I'm sure it said on box that it shouldn't be used before 37 weeks also. I got some good and strong contractions also but like yours my daughter was also late, she was 5 days late but the labour and everything went so perfectly and progressed very quickly and was much easier than my first so I think I'll be using it again this time round xx

You will get some stomach pains and cramping sensation ... Don't worry it's perfectly normal . Don't drink too much though - you will live on the toilet c

@cookedsushi, yh same here, the only thing I didn't try was being intimate with the hubby because by then I was really uncomfortable and had a lot of aches and pains and completely off that in general lol. My friend tried the castor oil and had diarrhoea then the baby became distressed and she opened her bowels and then swallowed it, when they got the baby out she had to be monitored and was in hospital for a bit as she'd swallowed some and it got into her lungs. She's learned her lesson from that though and said she'd never try the castor oil again. I'm definitely all for the natural methods that you mentioned above though, I'll even try curry even though I'm not a fan of hot and spicy food lol xx

@cookedsushi, I know right! I was so annoyed with her when I found out, she really hated going over but that doesn't mean you should endanger the life of u our baby. xx

@cookedsushi, Exactly! I told her not to do it when she first mentioned it but she went ahead and did it anyway, I told her how selfish it was because even when she mentioned it to her midwife she warned her against doing it but she was fed up of being over due and did what she wanted anyway. I wanted to yell at her but I waited until her baby was better and released from hospital to talk to her about it lol, I was so annoyed with how selfish she was but at the same time I saw how terrified she was and she was crying saying it was all her fault so I felt really bad and didn't bother, I was just there to support her...her daughter was born exactly 10 weeks after my first daughter. Thank God she's fine now (she's best friends with my daughter lol, they're both almost 10) but it was almost a very different story for her. xx
