Yes this is my first too and I am also super nervous. I was dilated almost 2cm and 50% effaced on Thursday, and since then is when I have those really bad sharp pains. I think that is what dilating feels like... getting checked again this Thursday.
@azuryjaneth, I found out I dilated 1 1/2cm last week I hope I've dilated more since then

The only thing that miiiiiight help is sitting on an exercise ball 😕 but sometimes it makes it worse. I feel your pain. Its like sharp knives down there and I'm wondering how I'm gonna handle pushing a baby out down there
you cant 😖 its just one of the joys of pregnancy lol
