hey lovelies..so ok I got a weird topic ere. ive been reading abt labor n natural ways of inducing labour lik v all do lol..came across d usual suggestions lik eat a hot curry nipple stimulation hace sex.. castor oil raspberry leaf tea etc..but I den came across an article abt doing ur own membrane sweep n checking ur cervix by urself to encourage labor or check hw far dilated you may be...yes I know u read correctly lol... opinions varied from dat its safe to do so after 38 wks aslong as ur waters haven't gone since a person using own fingers will b more sensative to der own anatomy etc n its an empowering experience blah blah etc..the other side of d spectrum pple showed outrage dat it can introduce bacteria in to cervix or make bub distressed n should only b left to d professionals..I take my hat off to anyone who can even reach past der vagina lol but jus was interested if anyone has done d above etc?? sorry if this is tmi..but im bored n curious hehe ;D

I checked my cervix to see about ovulation but couldn't bloody reach that if I tried when I was pregnant😂x
It's not advised as can cause infection maybe read up a bit more or ask your midwife X
lol v true. I mean ive only gone as far as shoving a thrush pessary up my lady bits n I felt lik a wuss lol..
I think if your going to introduce a penis (sorry tmi lol) in there you could do it yourself, I would quite happily check my own cervix if I new how, I would have to read about it 1st lol everyone is different though, everyone has their own opinion xx
it's interesting topic since I know alot lasses dat hav checked cervix to track ovulation etc..jus was wondering if anyone actually done it in pregnancy..bo doubt it comes with its risk hun ur ryt..
Hmm :) I think I would personally leave it to a professional hun...as they know what they are doing. I had a sweep(my waters had already broken and they wanted to kick start labour) and was I 8cms within an hour...even the midwives were shocked I dilated that fast. You could end up delivering at home x x If anyone had complications like I did...the baby or the mother could end up in critical condition or worse x
IUI Monday!!
So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years...

Do I want to be uncomfortable as hell for 40-42 weeks?
Do I want to be in horrible pain for up to 14-16 hours even longer
Can I handle pushing a big ass head through my vagina
Can I handle this with no pain meds(sometimes u can't make it in time)
Do I want to go to the hospital 10x before I'm actually in labor.
Because inducing your labor at 32-37 weeks for your own selfish needs or getting a csection to do it the "easy" way is just plain selfish and FYI a...

How do you all feel about your SO/hubby going to the strip club? I honestly have jealousy issues and I dont approve of it for my SO, as he already doesn't like too go.
