Found out today I'm having my son delivered by c section @ 8am 4th July, AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY, so wanted to give my little man an American name.. Need some help and ideas.. Want something different and original. My last name is Conroy so something which goes with that 😀
I had a couple as a baby. had full body plaster cast but my right hip still pops in and out if the socket when I'm walking
@pipconroy_ Yeah :) he was fine :) Had to stay in hospital a bit to get stronger etc :) But now he is a healthy 14 year old :) xx
Really? @winterbaby95 was he okay? They was really worried as the baby was getting really stressed 😢 @tuftyturtle that's awful, have you ever had to have correction surgery on your hips? No they give you injections to block it all up, it's like injections to strengthen and rebuild your plug, they won't put anything up inside you unless it's a must as that's like getting a sweep in pregnancy, so they try to avoid if as much as possible x
They didn't know. They've never asked when pregnant ! do they actually insert something into you ?
That's terrible, if you've got displacia the same way I have you could of been left disabled! I have had 6 surgeries so far in my life to correct my hips shape and size. It's what they use to block your waters from coming out when you've already lost your plug, you have crazy amounts of injections to stop the contractions and stop the labour, if I didn't have all of that then I could of lost him at 26 weeks, so I'm so glad I got the pains I had (contractions) checked out.
Nobody even asked if I had hip dysplasia in my first pregnancy and they didn't care in my second. In my first they forced my legs into stirrups and I was screaming from pain in my hips but they didn't listen 🙈 second time I laboured on all fours and couldn't feel any hip discomfort. what's a vaginal block ?
@winterbaby95, then they will just give me an emergency c section and @tuftyturtle well the consultant won't allow me after my scan, also it's not just my hips. I went into premature labour at 26 weeks which they had to stop by steroids, injections and a vaginal block, this stressed the baby out a lot and if they didn't do the vaginal block when they did, he could of been very poorly, so for this reason also they are choosing to deliver c section..
@pipconroy_ Awe ok :) wow! You don't want that to happen! Xx But what if you go into labour before the scheduled date?? 😨😱
@winterbaby95, I have hip displacia so my hips would break if I went into labour naturally unfortunately.
@wonterbaby95, aw that's an amazing story glad he was okay! Aw bless you it's painful isn't it, last year I had my hips both broken and reset and shaped, wasn't able to walk for 10 months, was wheel chair bound, it's crazy!
