Should I b upset that my mother in law is reaching out to her sons (my baby daddy) ex girlfriend wishing Her a happy…

My mother in law did almost the same thing to my husband ex girlfriend right in front of me and I called her out on it she tried turning the whole thing around on me saying it was my fault and that my son hates her blah blah blah. My MIL is so two faced it's gross.

It all depends on the type of relationship you guys have she may have been closer to his ex than she is to you & that's why she shows his ex more love but hopefully she wouldn't show your baby fake love because that is her blood

@mariah0809, I think you would be less upset if she reached out to you the same way...or have you an oportunity to have that relationship with her. maybe you can have a heart to heart and let her know you want to develop a closer relationship with her considering the fact that you all have a new addition to the family. you never know. also I wouldn't mention the Happy Birthday issue.

I can definitely relate, I'm giving my child's father's parents their first grandchild and his mother is very fake and phony and brings up inappropriate people to him and has mentioned his ex a few times (and has even went as far a while back as saying that she could find her son somebody far better than me). She has never parted her lips in the almost 3 years that he and I have been together to say happy birthday to me or I love you or anything like that either even though I make it a point to say happy birthday and get her a gift for her birthday and Christmas and Mother's Day and everything and from what it seems wants nothing to do with this baby and my father's child has led me to believe she won't even be attending the baby shower, but I look at it at this point as it's their loss if they want to act like that not ours or our children's. I know that looking at it like that doesn't make it any easier or better but we unfortunately can't make them act right.

Telling your business IS disrespectful and if you know that's what she's doing then I can see why you're mad. Outside of that, there's no rule that says she can't still like the other girl and like you too. She just needs to keep the relationships separate as far as sharing your business with her. If she had a bond and good relationship with her then why should she stop talking to the girl?

After i broke up with a guy i was with for a few yrs, he would still come by and pick my neice up and take her to chuck e cheese etc. That doesn't mean she is being fake. Yes you are having her grandchild, but everyone doesn't bond the same. I don't think wishing her a hbd is something to get mad over

My husband mother won't even call her MIL 😒 is not a big fan of mine but I could care less. This is her first grandchild & she has yet to ask about her. I would figure put our differences to the side & have a relationship with your grandchild but she feels differently & that's fine but you won't get an invite to my shower & don't fix your mouth to ask to see my child.

@mariah0809 girl same , I have his mom money and everything . She tried telling my sons father to get custody of him ever since then I don't respect her . I'm 34 weeks and my doctor said I can go into labor at any point and what does his mom do ? Plan a trip to NC for Bike Week the week of my sons birthday and I could go into labor 🙄🙄👏🏻👏🏻👋🏼👋🏼

You shouldn't stress over it just keep your distance and when your baby comes you should be making the schedules on when she sees the baby and when she doesn't but you should definitely let your baby father know how you feel
