Why am I still only pumping out 1oz. From each breast 😔 I pump about 3/4 times a day and do feed on demand even at night where the longest stretch is 3 hours I'll go without feeding. I get so discouraged, I'm told that I have good supply of milk I even eat lactation cookies and drink mothers milk but it's so frustrating when I can't pump out enough.

that happened to me. I had to pump ever hour in order to get my supply back. I did that for two days and now I pump 5-12 ounces in one pumping session 😊

@nanifice, I was pumping every hour after I was feeding her and I felt like less and less was coming out

try not to stress over it. I usually don't feel full while feeding but still have lots of milk. also pumps aren't as good at taking milk out as a baby

I was just reading up on pumping cause I can't even produce an oz. How much you pump isn't an accurate representation of how much milk you're producing! Also, pumping at different times can make a difference. I'll link the page to you for more information. Don't get discouraged. Pumping takes time to learn.

Also, on a different site, I read that being relaxed and focused on your baby can help with your let down. Holding and smelling a blanket your baby uses can help trigger a let down. And just being relaxed. Massaging your breasts before pumping. Lots of different tricks!

I hate pumping I can never get more than 3oz from each side. I know I make more because the baby gets full from one side.
