Apologies for not updating lately; I've just had a rough week so far and today I went to the hospital for another ultrasound which indicated no signs of Down syndrome (according to the consultant) but they still wanted me to think about amniocentesis. So we did an amniocentesis and now I'm pretty much aching which is normal. I'd need 24 hours rest as recommended by the midwife. But here's a pic of the ultrasound and baby's organs seem to be functioning as it should at this point.

I hope so @winterbaby95 even though the scans didn't show any abnormalities. But my bf wanted to be sure so we can prepare. And my screening midwife told me that the patients who had amniocentesis done by my consultant have never had any kind of miscarriage or infection before. so my fingers are crossed 😊

Hey @stacey804 hope you're well! feeling achey from the needle which I didn't expect but I feel okay at the moment. Scan was fine, baby's heart and kidney seemed fine and there was no indication of down syndrome. I hope the amniocentesis is going to be worth it and hopefully there's no complications or miscarriage. xx

My mam had one with me and that was 23 years ago, technology has came along way. Please don't be panicked. Scan sounds great, and when your baby is here you'll forget about all the panic and stress. These baby's like to make us worry but they are worth it in the end (: xx

@stacey804, yes it was so nerve wrecking whilst waiting for the scan.. and like you said technology has improved and so has doctors. Hearing the midwife said that the consultant has had many cases and experiences with amniocentesis I felt a little better. I hope it'll be fine xx

@winterbaby95, @meadraven haha thanks ladies. The baby does look like my bf from the side profile, especially when he/she was "picking" his/her nose during the scan. haha! But I only get to know the sex when I have the results back.. 😊

Haha.. yes @stacey804 he's been cooking and taking care of me. even became worried when I was in the bathroom for too long.😄
