So I used my Doppler a few times today trying to find my baby's heartbeat. After a few failed attempts I think I finally found it! Problem is I don't know how to work my Doppler very well so I don't know how to pick up how many bpm there are. I guess I'm wondering that since I'm so early, is it possible for my baby's heart rate to seem a little "low"? Like its higher than my heart rate but when I recorded it on my phone it comes out to barely 98 beats or so and my heart was 80 beats in the recording. Am I doing it wrong or maybe because I'm still learning how to find it, it seems low? Maybe it's just hard for the Doppler to pick it up? I'm not worried because the heart sounded great I'm just curious about yalls opinions?
YouTube videos helped me decipher the difference between the arteries, my heartbeat, the placenta and baby.
Lol could be! I'll YouTube it tomorrow and be a pro by the end of the week 😉😂 @hermommy
See that's what I'm thinking, it's a little early and I don't really know what I'm doing so it'll take time. Thank you :) @jasholbert
@canaryv chances are you are correct, especially with you having a murmur, I also have one and it makes finsing Brins hb easy! But truthfully you probably skipped a few beat a when counting lol
The lower numbers could also just be blood flow to the placenta. I put the doppler on my own heart to hear it and get a reading then tried to find babys. I have to sonoline B so it telling me the BPM helps me know if it's his or not. I think there's 3 modes on the doppler but they should all tell you the same thing. Keep trying or wait a few weeks. I can totally tell mine isn't near as sensitive as the doctors even at 34 weeks. She can put it on my belly and find it immediatley yet at home I have to fish around for it. lol and the earlier you are it seems harder to find because they have so much room to move around.
Lol thank you :) I'll mess with it again tomorrow! & I didn't mean it never moved, just that after 4 sonograms with baby being in one general area that's obviously the first place I looked & found what I was thinking is the heart. Am I right or wrong? I dunno, it takes practice and I'm not worried :) @hermommy
I didn't find mine on the home Doppler until close til 11 weeks and when I did I had the start in the middle and angle it downwards a bit to the left under my pubic bone. The Doppler never picked up the BPM until recently for me.
Lol wasn't giving you attitude but alrightie. Have a great night! I appreciate it (; @princessalaynasmommy
Mine wouldn't do the doppler until 12 weeks and I know the doctors is much more sensitive so that could be it as well. How many BPM was It at 8 weeks? It should be around there. At 8 weeks mine was 172.
I don't know how to work the stupid modes 😂 I'll keep messing with it@hermommy
your baby isn't going to be in the same spot every time but good luck with the theory
oh girl don't get an attitude when you asked for advice. I'm telling you like your doctor will tell you the 90s is definitely you, at 5 to 6 weeks when the babies heart starts beating it's a little slower but it's still not in the 90s
Well I officially heard the heartbeat at 8weeks even so I know it's in the general area but thank you!@princessalaynasmommy @lovebuggg2016
@canaryv if it's th SONO B line it should have a screen that'll tell you girl
The pocket fetal Doppler & well tbh idk how to do it lol I was just counting for 15 seconds and multiplied by 4 like another preggie told me to @hermommy
The other sound you thought was probably an artery which sound like heartbeats due to the blood rushing through them. I'd wait another two weeks then try. They tried to do a Doppler on me at 7 at the hospital and just kept getting arteries. I ended up with an ultrasound. Good luck! I'm sure you'll here it soon though!
but my doctor found my baby's at 10 weeks so I bet you can it just takes patience. and you have to be really low, like in button you pants and scoot your panties down and listen right above your public bone. you have to move the doppler very slow and only move it a tiny bit at a time, the babies heart beat will be very fast and you'll know it when you hear it. baby will be like 130 and up, if it's 120-125 it's probably placenta, or echo, or the cord, but that means you're close to the right spot
which Doppler did you get? it's very likely you're just counting the BMP wrong
I've got a murmur so I know the difference between my heart and the other heartbeat I found @princessalaynasmommy & I'm not stressed, I know it takes time I was just wondering if there's tips or something 😋@modelo_chula @lovebuggg2016
You usually can't hear the heart beat for the baby on a Doppler until 12 weeks. You're probably picking up and artery. 😔
They say to becareful using those because it can stress you out trying to find your baby's heartbeat but your baby should be fine
So my doppler came in the mail and I tried it out. I found my heart beat but not the baby's. ughhhh 😐 I'm gonna get my OB opinion tomorrow.
How many weeks were you Lady's when you heard your Baby's heart beat for the first time with the Doppler ??

So worried this is not normal for me at all my blood pressure is high it’s normally low and my heart rate is low and it’s normally high.
Doppler !
Hey ladies, I finally got my Doppler in the mail. I am 13 weeks tomorrow and I just tried it out. I found something that definitely sounds like a heart beat, but the Doppler read the rate as 135. Does that seem way too low to be the babies heart rate ?
Low Heart Rate
Is 133 too low for a heart rate? My first appointment baby's heart beat was 155. Now at 14 weeks it's gone down to 133. That just seems so low to me. This is my first baby and also my rainbow so I'm super worried and feel like I'm always so paranoid ?
That's what I hoping to learn@jasholbert
