Hi ladies
Wonder if anyone had been through something similar with there little one as I'm trying everything I can to me him feel better . At first I thought he had colic but now I think he may have silent reflux my gp has prescribed infant gaviscon started with it today has anyone had success with this and how long did it take? I just want my boy to be happy and comfortable again the poor thing. 😟💙
Thanks @suzie31 . I know your mission very well hopefully we can help each other figure this cruel thing out . 😊 xx
Thankyou, I know yours is silent but still has the same issues just not sick like mine, so I'll let you know if my doc comes up with any good ideas. I'm determined to fix this haha. It's like a mission for me now. I WILL fix it lol xx
Bless you Hun it's really hard isn't it seeing them go through this and being able to do nothing. Hope you get some answers Wednesday my HV is coming in the morning hoping she has some ideas will let you know . Sounds like u have tried everything like me 😞 xx
Aww I feel for you. I'm in the exact same boat with my boy, he has reflux. He's on infant Gaviscon, and although it works with the occasional bouts of sick it causes hard poo's. Don't happen for all babies so yours might be different. I tried him on Aptamil reflux milk and it was like he was cured but unfortunilety caused diarrhea so have had to go back to Square one. I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday to tackle this problem because it's getting me so down seeing him distressed with it. Xx
Hey luv she didn't tell me anything new really just keep going with the gaviscon for now if it doesn't work we can try Ranitidine which is drops 3 times a day it keeps the acid down but hopefully this will work? Or if by four months it doesn't change or get better we will have to early wean him (4 months) as the food will get rid of the reflux , milk can easily creep back up but food weights down and stays there plus there little bodies mature enough that the valve stays closed in the oesophagus by 6 months she was saying . My little one is 2 month tomorrow so we'll see if we can keep it at bay by then so I don't have to early wean . Sorry for long reply lol ☺️ xz
