my midwifes office is refusing to do a due date confirmation and basic wellness ultrasound after my CT scan at my appt and says they won't do one until I am 20 weeks. I don't want to wait that long and don't think i should. I'm already a nervous wreck and this ultraound would just give me piece of mind. what should I do?

how much would that cost @kaitlinholland516 ? I have heard nothing but great things about this midwife and am thinking it's just the rude receptionist. also. there aren't other drs that cater to the hospital I want to deliver at.

every office I've called refuses saying they can tell how far along I am without an ultrasound. if I'm the one paying what does it matter?

It's just depends on the office! You can look up first trimester screening offices online and they should give you prices!

Not sure if it's the same where you live, but here where I live you can volunteer for the college students to scan you. I'd try calling around to some of the colleges and see if they offer something like that for their students to do.

I don't think there are medical colleges around here but I'm waiting for a callback from my Dr office.

just talked to a local carenet. they are willing to do the ultrasound for free! thanks all for your advice.
