You should say you like it, because you are raised to like white names more so you don't understand her culture. it could be a very beautiful name to the people who actually matter. like those in the culture.

Tell her you think it has a beautiful meaning but you're not too sure of the sound of the actual name itself...but then remind her it's her baby so the decision is all on them when it comes down to it lol

I would tell her your honest opinion since she ASKED for it. Tell her it has a beautiful meaning but your not too sure if you like the name in general. But also need to assure her that it is her baby so in the end it is her choice. With my son everyone constantly said "I don't like that name" "that's a stupid name" like every name I had picked out but I never asked for anyone's opinions but it would hurt my feeling so id change the name...so with my daughter I decided I wouldn't tell anyone the name I had picked out. But your friend asked for your opinion so you should tell her the truth but don't be mean about it.

You should tell her that you think the name is absolutely beautiful but it sounds a little different since you're not used to names like like :)
