get pregnant at a young age = loss in friends
hmmm. :\
getting pregnant at any age will equal a loss in acquaintances. if they disappear they never were a true friend.
Happends at all ages, I was 26 when I had my daughter and you notice who is really there to be your friend after kids. Having kids matures you and even at 26 I lost a lot of friends (ones without kids) because we have different ideas of what is fun now. I'd rather spend time with my family than bar hop and party every weekend.
i got pregnant at 19 & had her a little after my 20 th birthday & still lost friends
okay! I've seriously only had this app for like an hour now! @jennatess
@6215teenmom, (make sure to tag people when you talk to them, otherwise we won't see any notifications that you said anything. 😊. Swipe left on a persons comment/name and click the little arrow and it will tag them for you.) ... My sister is a sophomore. 😊
I'm 17, almost finished with my sophomore year. (I retook it)
@6215teenmom, I mean, to be honest, my mother didn't want me hanging out with my friend who got pregnant when we were 16. And, even though that's cold hearted, I know my mom just wanted me to do things on MY terms. A 16 year olds mind can be impressionable. Hell, even some adults can be impressionable. Just focus on you and your child. If you ever need to talk, I'm here! But, try not to upset yourself over this. Babies can feel stress from inside the womb! I don't know how old you are... (I'm assuming high school?)...but, a little advice for ya...I only talk to two people I went to high school will. Time goes on, and you'll find that this part of your life is so small in the grand scheme of things. You're going to go on to make wonderful life long friends. Try to find other moms your age. (:
the friends I had all want to party & stuff & don't want to hang out with me and my daughter...I even moved and that didn't help
It's about being in different stages in life. I don't blame them, I was more distant from my friends when I was younger and they had kids. I still wanted to do the things we bonded over like going to the club and traveling. Close to impossible when someone has a new baby, so you have to find others that are in the same stage. I never abandoned my friends completely I just had to change what activities I could do with them.
some friends chose to leave me, and some of their parents didn't want them around me anymore. it's like I'll cough on them & they'll get pregnant @jennatess
you get pregnant at any age and lose friends, it's a sad reality. but the friends you lose probably weren't the best of friends anyways. i have maybe 2 friends that i still talk to from back before i had my son almost 6 years ago, and even then neither of them have children so we hardly speak.
I don't think it's an age thing. I think it's more of a shitty friend thing. It's like, this proves who is really a true friend. I mean, I'm 27 and I definitely loss contact with a few friends when I had my daughter. It is what it is, and you're better off with people who will stay, love, and support not only you but your beautiful child as well.
Im about to be 26 .. I had my first at 18. you lose friends no matter what because youre life is changing I dont see anyone that I used to hang out with and now that Im not working I really dont see anyone but as time goes by youll stop caring
