My daughter is a month old now. All throughout my pregnancy I was so excited to be pregnant, couldn't wait to start showing, feel her move, ect. Now that she's here I go through these feelings of wanting her by my side all the time to getting annoyed and feeling like she's "in the way". I also don't feel like her mommy. Almost like it's just a baby I'm taking care of, I want to feel that bond. I feel guilty for not feeling guilty about these feelings.

you should speak with your OB about possible post partum depression, you sound just like i did after I had my son, and if it is ppd, talking to your doctor can help you out tremendously.

That's how I felt the first week my baby is 4 weeks old but I still have a lot of depression. You should talk to your ob sooner then your 6 week post partum. Mines is tmrw but I've already been referred to therapy. It'll definitely help, and I've always been one that turns away help because I'm not sentimental but in this case it's needed for us Mommies. We go through it all.
