Does anyone have any tips on getting baby to latch after a tongue tie release? I'm running out of energy.. I want to breastfeed so bad but we're both having such a hard time it's so frustrating 😔 it's like she doesn't know how to open her mouth wide enough, just her lips open and curl out and she sticks her tongue in and out really fast. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ❤

I called the one at my hospital and she said she's probably sore so let her rest by pumping and cup feeding her (so she doesn't get used to a bottle). I used a syringe and she ate like a half of a syringe full then wanted nothing to do with it. She only wants the breast but struggles so much to latch on. And when she finally does its so painful. I think I might end up going to the hospital to have the lactation consultant help me hands on.. I don't want to give up but I don't want to see my baby struggle so much anymore.. @wiccanmommy

I think a hands on appointment is a great idea.

I just left the maternity ward and they helped me a lot! They gave me some more lanolin and nipple shields to help them heal and gave me a lot of great tips. And yes, that's definitely okay! @aightgoddess
