If you go to your local fire department they'll read your cars manual and make sure it's in correctly

I used only the latch belt and mines on the passenger side because I'm too short and had a difficult time getting my daughter in and out.

@raegenice thank you I just wanted to make sure because somebody told me newborns are supposed to go in the middle and I didn't think so

They say only use one or the other, so using the latch belt only is fine and yep!! we put ours on the passenger side
