Its been a few days since I've posted an update so heres one! They ended up putting a feeding tube in and as much as it upset me it was definitely the right choice. He's much more alert and energetic and hes actually eating more on his own than they put down the tube. They might be removing his IVs tonight too if his white blood cell count is better. He's lost some weight though which isn't good but I'm hoping he gains it back fairly quickly. In short he's doing pretty good but not well enough to come home yet.
