Hi ladies what's people's throughts on private gender scans?? And does anyone have any info on…

I'd really like to have one but in 3D so hopefully it's more accurate as more details can be seen. I'm too scared after what a close friend has just gone through (see my last post)

@sweetsesame, yes I read your post Hun, this worries me too, my bf has just messaged me saying that his boss at work has said mothercare do early 4d gender scans but I'm a bit skeptical lol?

I'd say go at the latest you can for a gender scan. I know most private clinics have a time frame. Fear of getting it wrong is why I'm opting for 3D because it's pretty clear. (Pls excuse the nudie photo, I got this from Google and you can tell that's a boy)

@hawkie75, I had a 16 week 3D gender scan, was told girl. Had 7 more scans since then and she's definitely a girl, to the point that the private 4D HD live scan at 30 weeks showed us so clearly she is in fact a she. All NHS ones have said girl too, I doubt private clinics would let you believe one sex if they weren't 100% sure them selfs. If they can't say for certain they normally arrange for you(free) to come back another time, hoping baby is in a better position to see xx

@hawkie75, I went between 2 different clinics in Edinburgh. Because they had offers on at the times I wanted the scans done, the 16 week one was £48. And the 30 weeks one was £97, but that one included 5 4D images, 2 key rings of baby, a photo frame of choice and a teddy of choice with my little ones heartbeat recorded inside. I'd definitely recommend going around 30 weeks, get to see so much of babies facial features and expressions. Was a great experience xx
