Idk why, but major life events turn the smartest people into idiots. Maybe offer to do some small part of it to get things started? (I hate it, but I took it upon myself to do my own invitations since my MIL hadn't even ordered any yet.) At least it got things started lol @novasmother

@Mel i2890 I would loooove it if they let me plan my own shower!! I keep thinking about asking but it feels rude if I pick everything and they pay for it lol
