I wish I could stay up better when breastfeeding. I seriously fall asleep sitting up lol

the feedings will space out. I find keeping water next to me helps cause I can drink it to help wake me up. try keeping water and a snack next to you that you can munch on during feedings. also if you have a rocker or glider try to use that instead of sitting in bed. I think napping during the day helps also.

I had a super hard time as well, and since my son was born early I waited even longer to side nurse him to sleep. When baby gets a little more head control you may be able to nurse him laying down, but I don't recommend that until they get bigger and have the ability to turn their head. Playing on my phone helped me stay awake long enough to complete a nursing session at night. Good luck momma! It does get easier!

@wiccanmommy, yeah I do the water thing and I've tried naps in the day and I can't take one..especially especially because she doesn't really nap during the day.

Lay down in bed girl lol. lay on your side. this is how we got through the newborn stage. he's 5 months now and it's our favorite way to nap/sleep nurse.

it rela ax es you and baby. Try moving her down a little to keep your boob off her nose. You probably won't actually suffocate her. Tilt her head up a little so it's at a small angle.

@meagansimone, she will move her head to where it's like under neath my boob. She does it even with the boppy

It's a comfortable position. My daughter does that, it's ok.
