Preeclampsia is the most common complication that can occur during a pregnancy. It generally develops during the third trimester and affects about 1 in every 20 pregnancies. Women in their first pregnancy have a higher risk of developing preeclampsia, as do patients with diabetes and mothers carrying twins. (So I have gestational diabetes so that make me have a higher risk?)

@youngg.mommyy, okay I didn't know if having gd would make the risk higher. Cause I had protein in my urine the other day an did a collection but they mislabeled the collection

it could, i'm not too sure how it'll work tbh /:
but if you're worried just keep an eye out & let your doctor know if your hands/feet are swollen, headaches that won't go away, flashes of light when you blink or spots in your vision... they're all signs of your blood pressure being high. if you're REALLY paranoid, I'd recommend a bp monitor, i have a cuff that goes on my wrist from walmart called Reli-on, it'll tell you if your pulse is fast & shows if your blood pressure too high
