Even though I hate pads, I wouldn't risk using tampons for a while. Call your ob.

@rainbow_mommys2122, there could be other areas inside that aren't fully healed. I mean, you can do whatever you feel you need to do. I just figure, better safe than infected.

after 6 weeks it's fine. even on my discharge papers after both by c sections it just says no sex or tampons for 6 weeks. so at my 6 week appointment my doc said it's fine anytime after then

my stitches that. were on the inside are healed too and I have like 3 pads and no money for more. but I have a ton of tampons @jennatess

Until your doctor gives you the go-ahead, I would just wait. Even though everything is healed on the outside, the issue is if a tampon is inserted it can scrape the inside of you, and cause infection.
