If you don't put anything even close to their face, like pillows, then you don't have anything to worry about. That's why I put them by his lower belly, legs and feet. One size doesn't fit all and my baby won't sleep on his back only his side. So I had to make his safe so he wouldn't roll over on his face and it is the best way for us😊 They have no idea why SIDS happens. You could be doing everything by the book and it can still happen

that's true I didn't even think of that I usually do that when he's in a good sleep unless I have something to do but I'll attempt that more often @aightgoddess

It could be the change in temperature that wakes him as well. If you're able to, try slowly moving him away from you to let him adjust to the change rather than having him cozy with your warmth to suddenly having it taken away.

I haven't used them ive been using his blankets to tuck him in and around his head but I didnt know that . I know sids can happen if you lay your baby on their stomachs I guess pillows can give them SIDS I didn't know that just so you know girl @mommy_faith thanks girl ! @ktwins188

pillows in the crib or bassinet is a big NO NO that's how SIDS happens

My son hated his bassinet so I had to think of something lol! Your baby is so young that if you wedge him in between two pillows, one by his back and one by his front starting at his belly, that baby isn't gong anywhere! Lol make sure he's in the middle of the bed as well. I check on my son constantly anyways but at least I can get things done while he's sleeping that way😊

I do the same Thing when nursing I'll fall asleep but yes that's a good idea I just get scared doing the pillow thing I know babies are all different but we did that with my brother and he would always manage to roll over to the point he would fall off the bed my sister did it to so it's kinda scary but I have a vibrating bassinet thing he loves sleeping in I put him in that after he's in a super good sleep lol @mommy_faith

My son was like that as well and he is just now getting better. We co sleep but for naps and stuff I can't lay with him or hold him the whole time cause I have a three year old as well. I found that the best thing is to lay down in bed with him and nurse him with both of you laying on your side. When he falls asleep replace your body with a pillow (no where near his face of course but his body) and sneak out of bed. My son doesn't even realize I got up😊

I do in the mornings SOMETIMES when I'm breastfeeding in the morning I'll be so tired and he will fall asleep with me on the couch @mommy_faith and he's two weeks and I have to wait till he's dead asleep to put him in bed like fifteen minutes after he just falls asleep I'll put him in his bed he does not like sleeping alone and i love sleeping with him but I want to cut it out early sometimes its just hard lol @elenalee

My first was like that but he grew out of it... It did last about 2 months though. Some babies just need the security of momma to sleep. I'm sure it's a big scary adjustment after being so cozy inside.
