question: how much should I be feeding my 5 day old son he was drinking 2 oz at the hospital and I have increased it to 2.5 bc he still seems hungry but now even after 2.5oz he is still hungry?!

It helps to regulate the baby's needs and not to overfeed them too quickly. It's a good way to know how much baby will want not with a bottle just shoved in their mouth.
@ktwins188, I just don't want to over feed him but at the same time I don't want to under feed him either :(
honestly let you baby eat as much he wants they know how hungry they are that's what I did with my!y twins
Do 2.5 x 8, so he should be eating 20oz a day, call his dr if you're concerned though. The info is on baby center. @warfordmomma
A rule of thumb that I read is 2.5 oz of formula or milk per pound of body weight
