I need mommy advice:

my son is 14 months old and he has a viral infection (stomach bug) we went to urgent care after 4 days of him being sick, throwing up and not eating. it is now 6 days sick. not getting better, not eating but not throwing up just gaging and preventing him to eat. they said I have to let it run its course but how long do I go with him this miserable and not eating before they can do anything?

Try Pedialyte. I'm sure he'll eat when he's ready :-) just keep those fluids going. I hope he feels better. Maybe Popsicles might even help.@mom021915

he was doing broths yesterday and now today he doesn't want anything and he's super whiny (like not crying but whimpering ya know? )

At What Age Should a Child Make Their Own Breakfast?

Make your own breakfast! At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
