I started with figuring out if I wanted one with a changing table attached. Then I decided what color I wanted , then price range and kind of went from there
I chose mine because it can be changed in to a toddler bed and then in to a full size mattress bed. I got mine at target. If you go with the convertible type you have to make sure you get all the parts so they're not discontinued when you need them.
I just ordered mine yesterday, I spent weeks reading reviews. we ended up getting one that converts into a toddler bed and full bed frame as well. I actually searched target and amazon but found the exact crib at Wal-Mart for about $60-100 cheaper :) best advice is find one you like and then shop around different stores
