Back pain is through the roof, on nearly the 17th hour of induction and I'm starting to worry. My husband is asleep and I'm really kind of losing my resolve. So I need advice. Should I get a little morphine to help with my pain and try to sleep, or should I tough it out until I actually dilate past 1cm? I don't want my labor to slow but I could still dilate, right? They can give me pitocin as soon as I'm 2cm! I was just barely more than 1 an hour ago... Help? 😷😷😷

@gingyrex, YAYAYAY! Good luck girl. Get some sleep and when you wake up maybe it'll be time to push! Lol

@gingyrex, yeah I mean mine as well be decently comfortable. Esp since that many doses of the pill hasn't done much. I know when my mom finally got medicine she dilated hella quick cause she could finally relax.

@mommytoabel, @ashalay88 @candacelouise I asked for the lightest dose, 2mg and already I feel better! Nurse is making up a heatpad. I may sleep yet! :)

GET THE MORPHINE. I shouldn't have waited so long to get mine.

@ashalay88, @candacelouise Four doses of the vaginal pill and I've dilated less than half a cm since 830am! I think I'm going to ask for a light dose... maybe I'll dilate while I sleep? That would be nice.

@gingyrex, I would if I were you! But I don't think it's worth being in that much pain. Plus you need some sleep. And a lot of times once you relax the process goes faster cause your body is calm and finally does what it needs to!

Im surprised you haven't dilated at all. Is the pain really that unbearable already that you can't rest at all? If so, if I were you, id take something and get the sleep. Sounds like you're really going to need it.

I honestly don't even know I just remember falling asleep within seconds I was so out of it. I stood at a 1 for a whole day and then they put the pill in me and then started pitocin and then inserted a balloon in me 😫 and then after so many hours later they checked me and I wad at a 5... I went from a 5 to a 10 in like 10 hours honestly it was such a long process but so totally worth it
