Unless they last a long time and you can time them for a long time, they're just Braxton hicks. Mine last I would say around 15 seconds but only happen for maybe 30minutes. No real frequency.

Yeah. Mine are pretty painful sometimes. I realized that is what I was feeling while I was hooked up to monitors at the hospital. I said like "Okay its happening again" and she said that I was just feeling braxton hicks contractions, and that was the only one I felt out of the five I had while I was hooked up. It is normal.
