Hey mamas what usually happens at a first appointment?

Congrats and good luck the first time you see the baby is magical I just had my first appointment like 3 weeks ago and I seen the heartbeat flicker and the baby started dancing like a little worm. It's a great experience nothing to be nervous about.

Ya they'll probably make you appointment for genetics test around when you 11 weeks

For the genetic test they only take your blood, it's not harmful to the baby at all, they will probably do a vaginal exam and a ultrasound if you're far enough along

It's highly recommended to it so they can give you tons of help before the baby gets here.

I have mine next Wednesday @tattooomama was it just an. Ultrasound because my mother in law told me they stick a needle in your stomach??

Is it dangerous?

if baby has any markers for a genetic disorder and can tell the sex.. I did one

You have 2 appointments one between 10-12 weeks and another around 16-18 weeks I believe you get to choose if you want this its to determine if you baby may have a chance at having Down syndrome and other genetic problems. It's optional though.
