For all you beautiful ladies trying to conceive.

I know your struggle, I've felt your frustrations and pain from time and time again getting that negative.

but....there is always hope.

I was told in 2008 that, after losing my first pregnancy, my odds of conceiving and carrying were slim to none due to previously having uterine cancer.

Then in 2014, I tried religiously to get pregnant with no luck. thankfully, I'm not longer with my ex fiancé.

My mom said "in Gods time" and other moms told me "stop trying and it will happen". I can't tell you how much I resented all of those corny sayings.

Granted there were quite a few things I was doing wrong when trying to conceive.

1. I was fully consumed in active drug addiction. (I've been clean now for almost a year).

2. I lost tons of weight too quickly, causing me to be unhealthy and throw my cycle off.

3. I was trying way too hard. I wasn't having fun anymore, and growing increasingly more depressed.

currently, I'm almost 26 weeks with a healthy baby boy who is due in July.

Oddly enough, I got pregnant after I got clean, after putting weight on, and after not even thinking about having a baby. honestly, a baby was the last thing on my mind. I moved to a new city, started a new life, met a great man and BOOM I missed my period and tested at 6 days late only to find out I was pregnant.

pregnant after being told I couldn't conceive, after a long 10 year battle with drug addiction.

I learned that it really is in "God's" hands and that when the universe thinks you are ready, you will be blessed with a miracle.

so don't give up, don't keep coming down on yourself, don't lose hope but also remember that when the universe thinks your ready, you'll know.

as much as I hated this advice....stop trying and miracles happen.
